We look forward to an eternal futre with our Lord, fulfilled in the coming of Christ. That glorious, eternal future enables us to serve the Lord in dark days, enduring all things for the sake of Christ, trusting that we are included in His promise of "something better"--a "better resurrection." The Gospel of Jesus Christ brings true freedom. His righteousness--received by faith--sets the soul free from slavery, free to serve God in love. Today we give thanks to God for the blessing of His holy angels, through which he guards and protects us day by day. We often don't even realize that His protection is there--but it is! He guards us from all danger and keeps us from all evil. And in His grace He opens our eyes to see His protecting love and mercy.
