In a world filled with questions and uncertainty, followers of Christ can find courage in their Savior's ascension to heaven, which assures us that His saving work is finished, that He is now present with us at all times, and that He will soon return to take us to be with Him. Certainly, the image of Jesus as Shepherd and His people as His sheep is familiar to many. Yet how often do we stop to appreciate the love of our Good Shepherd? Today we are reminded that what makes true shepherds in God’s kingdom are their relationship to Christ, the Good Shepherd, who is the only gate for the sheep.
