6/4/23 - Holy Trinity Sunday

We believe in one true God--Father, Son, and Holy Ghost--because this is how God reveals Himself to us in the Bible. We worship Jesus as true God the same as the Father, recognizing that all the Father's authority also belongs to Him as our Savior. Pastor's sermon, "All Authority Belongs to Christ" is based on Matthew 28:16-20. God bless your worship!

5/28/23 - The Day of Pentecost

On Pentecost God poured out His Holy Spirit! Today we celebrate this oldest of Christian holidays by recalling the great gifts of the Holy Spirit in our own hearts and in the hearts of all who hear the Word of God. Pastor's sermon, "The Helper Comes" is based on John 16:5-11. God bless your worship!

5/23/23 - Ascension of Our Lord (obs.)

In a world filled with questions and uncertainty, followers of Christ can find courage in their Savior's ascension to heaven, which assures us that His saving work is finished, that He is now present with us at all times, and that He will soon return to take us to be with Him. Pastor's sermon, "Take Courage in Christ's Ascension" is based on Acts 1:1-11.

5/14/23 - Confirmation Day

Loving our risen Savior means following His Word and setting Jesus apart as the Lord of our lives. Yet our obedience to Him is only possible through Jesus' promises and the faith those promises create in our hearts by the work of the Holy Spirit. On this confirmation day, Pastor's sermon, "Set Apart Christ as Lord in Your Heart" is based on 1 Peter 3:15-22.

5/7/23 - 5th Sunday of Easter

The risen Christ is the way, the truth and the life. Salvation in Christ alone is exclusive--there is only one Savior we're ever going to have, but salvation in Christ alone is the cornerstone on which God builds us into His temple of living stones. Pastor's sermon, "We Are God's House of Living Stones" is based on 1 Peter 2:4-10. Feel free to download a copy of the service folder from our website at www.christthekinggb.org/sunday-bulletins. God bless your worship!

4/30/23 - Good Shepherd Sunday

Certainly, the image of Jesus as Shepherd and His people as His sheep is familiar to many. Yet how often do we stop to appreciate the love of our Good Shepherd? Today we are reminded that what makes true shepherds in God’s kingdom are their relationship to Christ, the Good Shepherd, who is the only gate for the sheep. We follow in His footsteps, even if it means suffering for doing good. Pastor's sermon, "Follow in Your Shepherd's Footsteps" is based on 1 Peter 2:19-25.

4/23/23 - 3rd Sunday of Easter

Hope is lost when we let our wants or expectations get in the way of hearing God's clear Word. God restores our hope by raising Jesus from the dead and pointing us back to His promises. Pastor's sermon, "Jesus Lives to Restore Our Hope" is based on 1 Peter 1:17-21.
